Who is this person who gets elected to the Senate or House? Who gets appointed to cabinet positions, the Federal Reserve and other powerful offices? These are elitists. They are born not made. Their lives are incomplete unless they are deciding how other people are to spend their time, money and energy. Who is it that votes for elitist leaders? These are the king seekers, I wrote about on Friday. They talk of government for and by the people but at deep levels they relate to government like it is a parent. Together, this accounts for about 97% of the population. It is not a surprise that government grows without bounds. When the depression starts up again, expect the general population to look to government for solutions and embrace socialism. Republicans will be the first to have their hands out, just as was the case in 2008. Elitists in government and a population with a hard wired government dependency is a bad combination.
